You will learn how to analyze data from the 2018 DC Area Survey and you will conduct a complete statistical analysis of an empirical question of your choosing. The course will cover how to conduct descriptive and multivariate analyses with non-continuous outcome variables. Student research questions and analysis plans will guide the specific topics that we cover in class, which will be split between in-class working sessions and lectures covering concepts and methods. We will focus on the visual presentation of analyses.

This course is the third in the sequence of the practicum experience in the Masters of Arts in Sociology Research and Practice. I expect that students have passed a basic statistics course such as SOCY 621 and understand basic survey research concepts.
